Dwarakamai in dream and Shirdi Sai Baba’s kindness to Lakshmibai

Sairam friends,

Last evening I had been to Lakshmi Narasimhar temple as my Mom asked me to go. I like it these days as the temple is calm and quiet and I love walking in the road. I really love walking so much friends. I believe everyone must walk a lot. Now a days I am not walking much as before but I always prefer walking over any other ways to reach a near by place.

There must be some divine reason why its said auspicious to walk to a temple or go on a Pilgrimage by walk. I have not done that but I basically wish people doesn’t feel bad to walk even close distance.

I had darshan of Suyambu Narasinga Perumal along with Mahalakshmi. I loved Lord Chakarathalwar also called Sudharshana
. Then I went to Nagasai Mandhir, was there few minutes and came back home.

I had severe lower back ache and could not write anything. I just read few stuff online because I wanted to do something related to Social Entrepreneurship and thinking about doing a course like MSW just to gain some knowledge. Other day, I was looking at courses offered by Tata Institute of Social Sciences – Tiss but honestly I don’t have time for such stuff at this age.

So I am planning to do some distance learning course and hope Sai guides me do it.

I slept off early at 11 telling Baba he never comes in dream and guides me properly.

I had a dream as below..

It was as if I am in a school and also like an office. I am not getting my salary and seems its kept some where on a shelf and am supposed to take it. I see many bundle of currency kept for others in various covers but I say that  I will take only mine even if its less and keep searching.

After this I see myself near the Thulasi Plant in Dwarakamai of Nagasai mandhir. I see my friend prem sitting infront of Dhuni Baba. He was teasing me for some reason and I tell him

“Its my Dhuni Baba, Its my Dwarakamai, I have been here for 15 years. So I will come and go when ever I wish. If you want you go to Main hall”

Then I go to main hall and also to the wedding hall behind Sai Mandhir.

Honestly, when I woke up, I forget the dream and gradually tried to remember. I saw so many other dreams but remember only this much. I opened Sai Satcharitra and looked at the following incident.

Lakshmibai’s devotion on Shirdi Sai Baba

This Laxmibai Shinde was a good and well-to-do woman. She was working in the Masjid day and night. Except Bhagat Mhalasapati, Tatya and Laxmibai, none was allowed to step in the Masjid at night. Once while Baba was sitting in the Masjid with Tatya in the evening, Laxmibai came and saluted Baba.

The latter said to her –

“Oh Laxmi, I am very hungry.”

Off she went saying –

“Baba, wait a bit, I return immediately with bread.”

She did return with bread and vegetables and placed the same before Baba. He took it up and gave it to a dog. Laxmibai then asked –

“What is this,Baba, I ran in haste, prepared bread with my own hands for You and You threw it to a dog without eating a morsel of it; You gave me trouble unnecessarily.”

Baba replied –

“Why do you grieve for nothing? The appeasement of the dog’s hunger is the same as Mine. The dog has got a soul; the creatures may be different, but the hunger of all is the same, though some speak and others are dumb. Know for certain, that he who feeds the hungry, really serves me with food. Regard this as an exiomatic Truth.”

This is a ordinary incident but Baba thereby propounded a great spiritual truth and showed its practical application in daily life without hurting anybody’s feelings. From this time onward Laxmibai began to offer Him daily bread and milk with love and devotion. Baba accepted and ate it appreciatingly.

He took a part of this and sent the remainder with Laxmibai to Radha-Krishna-Mai who always relished and ate Baba’s remnant prasad. This bread-story should not be considered as a digression; it shows, how Sai Baba pervaded all the creatures and transcended them. He is omnipresent, birthless, deathless and immortal.

lakshmibai house shirdi

Lakshmibai’s house in Shirdi – I had visited here and gave a saree with dakshina to one of her present generations daughter in law and got ashirwad from her

Shirdi Sai Baba’s kindness to Lakshmi Bai – Gift of 9 coins as sign of Nine types of Devotion.

Baba remembered Laxmibai’s service. How could He forget her? Just before leaving the body, He put His hand in His pocket and gave her once Rs.5/- and again Rs.4/-, in all Rs.9/-. This figure (9) is indicative of the nine types of devotion described in chapter 21 or it may be the Dakshina offered at the time of Seemollanghan. Laxmibai was a well-to-do woman and so she was not in want of any money.

So Sai Baba might have suggested to her and brought prominently to her notice the nine characteristics of a good disciple mentioned in the 6th verse of chapter ten, skandha eleven of the Bhagwat, wherein first five and then four characteristics are mentioned in the first and second couplets.

Baba followed the order, first paid Rs.5/- and then Rs.4/- in all Rs.9/-. Not only nine, but many times nine rupees passed through Laxmibai’s hand, but Baba’s this gift of Nine, she will ever remember .

The above Leela in Sai Satcharitra is so beautiful especially because of Saibaba’s love for Lakshmibai and since the devotees name is Lakshmi its like Sai has given his treasure to Lakshmi itself. Such is the divine quality of Sai.

When Shirdi Saibaba statue was first kept in Saibabas’s samadhi mandhir, Lakshmibai was alive..It was 1954 ..she saw the statue and had tears in her eyes saying” It exactly resembles our Saibaba…seems he has come alive ”

I wish you have a look at Sudharshanashtakam courtesy of a devotee Ramya..thank You.

Sudharshanashtakam with meanings

Few words from a Devotee about Sudharshana Chakara

Lord Sudarshana Grants Immediate relief to sufferings of Devotee

According to the Puranas, Sudarshana Chakra is used for the ultimate destruction of an enemy. The depiction of Vishnu with Sudarshan Chakra also means that Vishnu is the keeper-owner of the celestial bodies and heavens.

The word ‘Sudarshana’ is derived from two Sanskrit words – Su (सु) meaning divine and Darshana (दर्शन) meaning vision. Hence, the word ‘Sudarshana’ collectively means vision of which is auspicious. Lord Sudarshana is generally worshiped during Homas to ward off the devil and negative powers or vibrations. The word chakra is derived from the word Chruhu (चृ:) meaning movement and kruhu(कृ:) meaning to do. Hence, chakra collectively means the one which is mobile. The use of Sudarshana Chakra is occasionally mentioned in the Hindu texts of Rigveda, Yajurveda and Puranas.

Lord Sudarshana is the chief deity of this powerful Homa who uses his mighty weapon “Chakra” to grant immediate relief to the sufferings of his devotees. Also, your sins are abolished by his grace. Lord Sudarshana/Narayana is considered as the first step to be adopted in the concept of realization of God.

Coming to the Dream I had by grace of Sai baba, This is what I understood…

May be Sai feels am getting egoistic and possessive of his abode – Dwarakamai and Sacred fire – Dhuni. Dwarakamai belongs to all and Sai perceives every one of his devotee equally. So no one must take pride in seva he/she does or also in the devotion they show. Every one shows devotion in a different way.

I always try to be calm and never say about StarSai to others myself because I want to keep it safe and only Saibaba must bring his children here.

Lord Krishna resided in Dwaraka and to my knowledge its called “Dwaraka” because every one are seen as good devotee in the eyes of Lord. All 4 caste and creed can come to him easily. Dwaraka means one which has doors in all the sides – So any one who has complete faith and devotion can reach God immediately.

Sai’s Dwarakamai also belongs to everyone of his devotee. Now a days in Shirdi, Dwarkamai can’t be claimed during crowd days which is why I always request devotees to keep their heart – Their Mind and their soul so pure and holy as “Dwarakamai”

Sai will live in yourself

How did I relate Lord Sudharshana to the dream…

Well, I believe Lord Sudharshana will cut off all the evil forces and also my ego and pride or any other bad qualities with his holy chakra making me a better human and bless me with a good life.

There really is relationship between Sai and Sudharshana because Saibaba is 5th Avatar of Lord Dattatreya who has Sudharshana Chakra in one of his hands.. see Dattatreyalotus.com

Ok Now have a good day

Ever be Kind to all Animals and people around you. Try your maximum…he he

Dwarakamai in dream is always a auspicious sign . So I hope Saibaba will show me  away soon and make my parents happy

Love,

Venkat
