Dear sai friends, Please understand before you read : 1. I believe in equality and the fact that all religions are one and like a river merges in ocean every religion is a path towards the supreme being 2. Shirdi saibaba is a saint whos avatar itself was to unite people of all religions, caste and creed. 3.Why am i tempted to write this article. Did i mention any where that Hinduism alone is greatest religion ? No. I am only trying to express the same point to people or shirdi saibaba devotees from any religion ..the simple fact "Dont convert your religion just because you think your religion is worthless and the Gods you pray are not helping you". This article is my request to hindus specifically to have firm faith that our hindu culture is also one of the most beautiful way to gain wordly success and also spiritual goals. The reason i want to say this is that people convert their religion especially with a wrong message that "their Gods are not helping them" 4. Yougsters must make it a point to respect others way of faith - religion but they must also do little deeds on a day to day basis that will help them understand the values in their religion. There are hindus who never have habit of lighting lamps and praying to God reading sloka. Especially NRIs must teach such habits to their children . 5. Again and again i mention please do not confuse this article to be something written for projecting Hinduism. The goal is only to say " Shirdi saibaba does lived his entire life time for "equality" but sai also treated a devotee from specific religion in his own ways. If you are a Hindu ....follow your culture. Did sai ever asked anyone from any religion to convert to others ?" 6.As sai always explains his teachings through stories and incidents, one of my sai friend mentioned me a story where a Hindu devotee came to shirdi saibaba after converting into some other religion. sai was angry with him and asked " did you change your father" meaning "Follow your own path...why should you change your religion in order to get wordly success and salvation ? " 7. Hope you are now clear that what made me write this article is "the worst situation in india and many parts of the world where Hindus - especially in Villages are converted to other religion by using a natural human weakness...which is to say " follow our God , you will get all wealth, success, marriage will happen, you will get job, salvation etc etc...." well i do accept few get converted as they are given some kind of favours by people of other religion. Again before u read this article let me humbly express shirdi saibaba and myself as a ordinary humble shirdi saibaba devotee believe in equality. I request people not to misunderstand this article and feel only Hinduism is big and others are wrong. My intention is very clear and related to sais way of treating a Hindu in his own ways. Sai never asked a Hindu to convert to other religion . Shirdi saibaba asked a Hindu to read vishnu sahasra Naam and a muslim to read Quran. Thus my views are clear. Equality is must for spiritual growth . every one goes in their path as per their wish. The only reason i wrote this article is because the present situation in india is such we have to safeguard Hindu culture as people are innocently converted to others. we people who are Hindus can follow our culture with out any doubts, pray and worship shirdi saibaba as our guru and surely this is enough to attain wordly success and spiritual goals. The same is applicable for a sai devotee from any religion. So why convert. The roads are many , destiny is one and all roads becomes easy and pure when you learn its value. now start reading the article ... If you are born as a Hindu be a Hindu for life time : Protect purity of Hinduism and help Hindus understand path of Lord shiva is enough to attain all peace and properity in life Dear friends, As a ardant devotee of lord Murugan from childhood i used to travel to many temples in south india. From childhood i was taught by my parents that "God is one" and we must always respect others religion. I feel very happy to say that Hindus are people who speak about equality than anyone else. The majory of hindus really respect others and their way of life and beliefs. Natually my father though a devotee of Lord Murugan and Shiva , always respected others belief too. Later when i made starsai.com in 2004 december, i was inspired by our saint saibaba of shirdi to treat all holy books and religions equally and take good part in everyone though am still a Hindu. I assure this fact that as shirdi saibaba has lead a life as Fakir and lived in a mosjid called Dwarakamai, i do agree "Truth is there in all religions" . Shirdi Baba said religions are like rivers leading to one ocean. In november 2007 , i got a dream from shirdi sai as if someone is hypnotising me and am falling in his feets and crying to save me...This person is making me a slave and asking me to follow his own path ( his religion - he does this with bad intention - commercial motive ). Then a angel and Sai comes and protects me. I kept this dream in mind but never reacted. In january 2008, i visited few hindu temples n worshipped Lord shiva, Murugan and Goddess in Kumbakonam district in tamilnadu. In march 2008, i had a good sai friend who started writing me about the present situation in india where many poor people are influenced that they will get peace, health and prosperity if they convert to other religions. She mailed me with few facts and websites which had informations which made me realize Shirdi saibaba himself wants me to do something to make it clear as below " God is One - Who ever you pray, pray whole heartedly, your karma is not going to be altered by changing your religion.Even shirdi sai has only said, see me in what ever way you wish. The avatar of sai itself was to unite people of all religions as there can be only one truth and for each one of us the truth is the god in our own religion. The names are different. Truth is one. No one has rights to say only if you pray MY god you will get salvation . This is a technique used by present religious organisations etc to make innocent people fall prey to convertions.Lets learn the value of Hinduism and protect our Hindu Culture and traditions in india" I even went to the extent that i deleted few pages. I felt painfuil because i respect truth is there in all religions but the now who is handling spirituality in service motive.Its all commercial and so i felt its my responsibility to work for helping Hindus learn the value of Hinduism and continue to follow their way of life with out getting influenced but others. One has freedom to change religion but where is the need to do it when Hinduism is such a pure and sacred way of life . One of my sai friend told baba has said "Changing your religion is changing your own father." Baba accepted people from all religion. Even in this article the intention is not at all to say Hinduism alone is great religion but to mention clearly that This is also equally great as any other religion to attain all materialistic benefits and spiritual progress including salvation " I had a friend from other religion who used to say "only if you believe in my God you will get salvation" I told him i know my Shiva and vishnu are equally good to show me salvation and salvation is not just reading holy books, its in what good deeds you do in your life for that i dont have to change religion etc...I just have to do good deeds, think good, act good and always remembering shirdi sai and shiva itself i can attain this salvation or enlightenment or what ever you call it" Why do people convert religion : Its simple - People are misused n mislead by thousands of religions organisations and heads. They orgazine charity programmes, goes to village, gets job for people, have hospitals and do good deeds. Fine..i agree what ever you do is good. But whats your basic intention behind it ? You are trying to use innocence and needs of the public for making them fall prey to your words of faith.. I know shirdi saibaba also will help me to spread the "value of hinduism" because i am only saying " You will get all good things in life even if you remain a Hindu...why falsely think other faiths etc will help you ? . Here with humble prayers to sai, i express my feeling that "I do have respect and love for all true religions and faiths" but whats happening in present india is a "Cultural damage" Hinduism is a religion which has no origion. One of the oldest religion is now facing a crisis like never before. Please friends....i am not at all supporting any specific organizations etc. All i am telling is , Lets protect our "sanatana dharma" . Please do the following : 1. Do not feel shy for lighting lamps , doing pooja and going to temple..Hindu youths are thinking it to be too traditional.If you are like this then whats of use of thousands of saints and deciples of shiva and vishnu who dedicated their life time for the growth of Hinduism. Please try to visit any small temple regularly , do not think your God is not bothering you..This is common attitude which is main reason people change religion. Remember we have to suffer in this birth for sins we did in past. Even the religions which does not believe in previous janma has to agree with the "CAUSE AND EFFECT" of karma. "if you sow a good seed, it will grow as a good tree" ..So remain a Hindu, hold on to lord Shiva, Lord Vishnu, Lord Ganesha , Goddess Saraswathi and Mahalakshmi whole heartedly....say slokas...atleast learn 2-3 slokas and recite them everyday with pure mind. Surely you will learn the value of this religion 2. Another important fact i want to mention is i also dont like people who say "shiva only is great, krishna only is supreme" Let it be.. its my humble opinion that Ram and shiv are only different forms to express our love on the divine. When we ourselves divide and act foolish, then we give chance for others to interfere. First let us be united friends. Let us not be a extremist...i mean let us not say "Hinduism is the greatest" but simply say " Hinduism is a sacred religion, i know its values and truth that this way of life will bless me with peace of mind and merge me with divine" 3. Do not be after any Guru....I never ask anyone who does not
believe in Shirdi saibaba to hold his feets. If Sai is connected
with you from several births, you will have a love for shirdi saibaba
with out you knowing the reason. So i leave this part to Sai and
you. 4.Hindus who are abroad are much safer from converstions than those who are in india.This is what i feel friends...Atleast people living outside india are financially secure and they are not all going to be cheated in the name of helping them . Most of villages in south india people convert religion as they are offered money and any kind of career or financial support. Who needs money.Money will come and Go...but what about 'cultural damage' it causes to the society and country as a whole. 5.Its my humble feeling and responsibility to say again and again that "I am not part of any hindu organization. I am a ordinary people who just want to express my feeling with the blessings and guidance of shridi saibaba" Sai has said all religions are one but sai himself guided me in dream to help Hindus " understand the value of Hinduism and be a Hindu for life time" This is not for Hindus alone...its same message for people and shirdi saibaba devotees from any religion....You can pray shirdi saibaba or not ..thats your own wish...But if you are born in any purticular religion do not change that religion ....see pleaseeeeeeeeeee understand "Truth" is beyond religion. God has no religion Religions are for we humans to have a proper path towards this Light - the eternal supreme light. So if you are born as a Hindu , first learn its value, live as a Hindu and i am not asking you to gather crowd or shout at others who are converting religion ...Not at all...in Kaliyug this will happen on its own. But i am simply requesting you to remain calm, follow your path, if anyone says that their religion is big or use some reasons to make you convert or make your friends or family members convert , simply say this to them "I am happy for being a Hindu, even if i suffer its due to the seed i had shown in past and if your God is supposed to help me, then he will do it without me changing religion..you follow your path and let me follow mine. " Say them clear and calm and do not hurt them..They are in ignorance but you also must not be in ignorance that "hinduism alone is great' ....Respect others religions, have them as friends. But friendship and business assistance, career assistance must be in exchange of truth and humility .It must not result in convertion of religion.
I hope people of all religions who follow shirdi saibaba will agree with my views. We are children of shirdi saibaba and we all agree sai himself said" Sabka malik ek" " One supreme leader for all" - God is One. What made me write this article "If you are born as hindu, remain a hindu " is due to the guidance of Sai baba himself as Shirdi Sai baba has realized organizations across india and abroad are misleading many good hearted, middle class and poor people in india and making huge commercial and other benefits by converting them. To clarify again - I am a ordinary person , i love shirdi saibaba, i had even spoken about holy books of other religions and respect them but having understood the need of present time, with all blessings of shirdi saibaba , his commands and guidance i realized its also important to do little part to spread the "Value of hinduism" ... again see what i have wrote..We must never speak against people of other religion as they are also going towards light in their path...... what i am doing is simple.... "Trying to help a Ordinary middle class person born as a Hindu to understand value of his/her religion, read sacred books, go to temples regularly and realize his own Gods powers, Who is more eternal than Lord shiva to bless you with peace. Why did you falsely think only if you convert , you will get peace friends ?. Be calm and endure your sufferings in time of sufferings. chant lord shiva and vishnus name.Chant the name of Lord Ganesha. Surely your life will improve and you will be blessed with peace , happiness and prosperity. We as shirdi saibaba devotees must give respect people from all religions but we must follow our own path shown by "sanatana dharma - Hinduism" (I respect people from all religions and i see them with love and understanding. The present situation in india made me feel painful and sai also helped me with his guidance i wrote this for sai devotees who are born as Hindus .Sai devotees in other religions can always pray sai being in their own path. Time has come for me to help Hindus realize their sacredness and i am doing it . I do not wish to join any Hindu organizations and dont support them because instead of spreading the value of hinduism they are only trying to grow their own organization. How many Hindu Youths in such organisations have realized sacredness of Lord shiva. Simply speaking "Hindu....hindu"....is not enough. Hindu dharma has nothing to do with organizations. Its a internal experience enduring sufferings in life and still following the path of light shown by Lord shiva. As a ordinary shirdi saibaba servant i wanted to act as per Babas command and took a small step to help innocent , poor ,middle class Hindus.
