One of my favorite Goddess is Kolhapur Mahalakshmi. She’s truly Goddess of mercy. I can spend my lifetime remember her. It’s my desire to visit Kolhapur sometime in my life. Let’s see when she calls me? I request you to read the below article.

Eight good deeds you can do on Akshaya Tritiya

The past few days has been not so great for me since I had lots of issues at work. I tried to do my best but seems life isn’t going to be good if I don’t act now. I started looking at business with a birds eye view and the work I do doesn’t matter to me anymore. I am simply trying to remain calm.

As I get old, I wanted to do something that can change others life. I receive mails once in a while from people who are looking for job, trying for a better career or even those who face problems at work. I never reply such mails since I I can’t practically help them. Last time when I traveled to Shirdi, Sai gave me guidance to do something I was waiting more than 5 years for. I always look for approval from Sai before I take any initiatives. I told Sai Baba that I wanted to do something better in life. I just have few more years and I must be doing things which directly does some good to few people if not hundreds of thousands.

As a first step, I have already helped a girl to get a job though she’s going begin her career with a very small salary. This is how I begin my Akshaya Tritiya. They say that what ever we buy on this auspicious day for Mahalakshmi will grow in abundance. So I pray Shirdi Sai Baba and Goddess Mahalakshmi to help me create jobs and also help people get the right job they love to do.

What should we do on Akshaya Tritiya?

People buy Gold. Oh Yes. Go get lots of them if you wish to. I remember when I was very little, my Mom took me to shops. Those are the days these auspicious days were never popularized. Ma bought an Aluminum vessel and told me “Neighbor aunty have gone to buy Gold as they say if we buy something today, it grows. I atleast wanted to buy this”. Ha ha..

I feel like laughing when I write this. What a beautiful Ma she must be? I don’t think she remembers these stories now even if I tell her today. I must ask her tonight if she remembers that she bought aluminium vessel for cooking on Akshaya Tritiya when we were kids?

You can also buy food – Rice, any auspicious items, flowers to offer God, Goddess etc. All these brings auspiciousness in your life.

OK. Buy what ever you wish but make sure you also “Give”.

Do some charity and do it right

It’s auspicious to “Give” something to people who are in need today.

You can give sweets.

Get food packets and give to people sitting outside temple.

Give sarees and kumkum to women cleaning temple or selling flowers if you think they really deserve it. ( I have done this in past but not on Akshaya Tritiya)

Be careful while distributing such stuff as you might be surrounded by crowd and get embarrassed. So give silently.

You can also help people in need. It could be related to helping someone in education too.

Anyway, According to me, my mission is to bring happiness into everyone’s heart.

So I am celebrating Mahalakshmi by creating jobs

It’s just one job as of now.

I believe it will grow many fold in the years to come.
