I still have some debt to payback and I do it with detachment

Sairam friends,

When ever I come across someone and start to like them, I do it with lots of attachment and get hurt in the end. Only recently, I realized the truth about why we get attracted to someone. We are indebted to them. Sometime in some birth, we would have gained something good from them but hurt them in the end. A bad karma as it is called spiritually will come back to us. Now a days, I understood that Sai has been doing this to me especially to realize the value of “Detachment”.

Shirdi saibaba Noon Arathi – Madhyan Arathi 

There’s this line in the Madhyan Aarti of Sai Baba

“Tadapyesha slokobhigeeto marutah parivestaaro marutah pariveshtaaro
maruttasyaavasan gruhe Avikshitasya kamaprer Visvedevaah sabhaa sada ithi

Meaning..

It is a prayer for Marutt, the son of Avikshit excelling in the four qualities of knowledge, righteousness, detachment and longivity – whose abode all Celestial deities visit.

Shri Naarayana Vaasudevaaya Sri saccidananda Sadguru Saiñatha Maharaja ki Jaya”

When I read those lines, I realized that Saibaba wants me to be detached from anyone I like. You simply have to do good to everyone but not go crazy about them. When you are attracted to someone, stop yourself a bit and think its not going to end up as you desire. Love has a bit of poison in it and its poisonous only when you are too much into someone.

Let go of the one you love.

Love him/her but be clear about the “Detachment” quality Sai expects from us.

Just show them you care and let them live their life.

So many girls write me saying “I am not able to marry the one I love”.  I try to write them back but my words can only heal. You must learn the art of being strong irrespective of how much your dreams and desires are being shattered. The best thing you can do to keep yourself strong is to gradually divert your mind to other interesting things in life.

Do anything that makes your life meaningful.

When it comes to me, it too so many years to get this buddhi and realize why Sai keeps making me come across someone. May be, I did sins to so many in my previous birth and I keep paying back the debt one after another. I keep asking Baba

“Tell me onething I can do to make all these girls whom I have hurt in my previous birth to be happy. So that when they are happy, I clear off my debt”.

But seems there is not a short cut to get out of this karmic cycle. We must go through and accept the painful process. When Sai guides me in dream every single day, I get really confused as I wish to lead a practical life. Yesterday morning, I got frustrated and asked Baba to tell me clearly and opened Sai Satcharitra. It came to the chapter when Sai categorizes devotees. The first kind of devotees are the one who will do something the Guru desires, even before he is instructed.

I am happy that I did all I can even before Sai instructed me.

Now, I feel satisfied.

Just that none will understand my behaviour.

I have to be calm.

Being silent is much better than being inquisitive and asking Baba why he did this to me.

Sai, Please clear off my debt. I think its over now.

I am going to hug a Saibaba book and sleep now.
