Devotees experience doing Sai Vrat Pooja

Sairam friends,

For over 10 years, I have been receiving mails from Sai devotees for clearing few doubts about Sai Vrat Pooja. Devotees living abroad at times write me that they don’t have the Sai vrat Book to distribute and I simply tell them its not really necessary. No such pooja or book distribution existed during Sai’s life time.  The good thing about this books being distributed is that I have seen many people new to Shirdi Saibaba has tried to do such pooja to be blessed and gradually they become Sai devotees.

Apart from this, for devotees who cannot distribute books, I say its OK. ( Its my personal opinion and If interested you are most welcome to continue to do it)

StarSai has been spreading a word about Sai vrat Pooja to thousands of Sai devotees and I wanted to make sure, people don’t do it mechanically just to fulfill their wishes. What ever ritual you do for Sai, do it with love. If you have any issues fasting, please do not fast completely. I always suggest devotees to have little Vegetarian food and juice etc even during their vrat days. Sai doesn’t want his devotees to starve.

Secondly, I don’t think the story in Sai Vrat Pooja is more powerful than the leela of Sai in the holy book Sai Satcharitra. So I always request devotees to read 2-3 chapters in Sai Satcharitra.

Even the StarSai Shradha Saburi Pooja which I created doesn’t have to be followed with any rules. These Pooja and rituals are nothing beyond your pure devotion on Saibaba. A devotee can do no pooja and simply merge his/her heart in Sai’s soul. Its possible for few devotees. Some of us are not able to totally remember Sai forever and hence these Pooja helps us a bit. That’s it. Few years back, I received a mail from a girl saying, by the time she was doing the Shradha Saburi Pooja, she was blessed with a Job.

Taking the name of Shirdi Sai Baba I would like to share my experience of our Lord Sai Baba. I had heard a lot about Sai Baba in past few years but I was not a Sai baba devotee at that time. It happened so that when I was browsing I got to know about this 9 Thursday vrat, reading Saisatcharitra book, miracles of Sai Baba & lot more about Sai Baba. I was so impressed & involved in Sai Baba, since then I wanted to start this vrat for my job as I was not happy with my present job. But it never happened due to some or the other problem.

There was situation when I was completely depressed & very badly looking for a change in my job, It was then I made up mind & started this 9 Thursday vrat again on February 2014 & I had prayed to Sai Baba that before completing 9 Thursday I wanted a job in one particular MNC company where I was trying for quite some time & it never clicked & lost all hopes of getting the job in that MNC company. But I was in a surprise when I got a call from the same company that my CV was shortlisted & they would call me for an interview any time this happened when I was still on 3rd week vrat.

On 4th week I got a mail to attend the interview, 5th week I attended the interview & was waiting for the call & the day finally arrived on 7th week when I got a call from the company that I have been selected & had to join the company on 28th which will be my 9th week vrat, I was so surprised & shocked never ever could imagine that all happened within  the 9weeks as I prayed I got in to the same company & had the job in my hand before completing  9 weeks.

Also I had made a vow that I would publish my experience about Shirdi Sai Baba.

It all happened only because of my lord Shirdi Sai Baba. Om Sachitananda satguru sainathji ki jai.
