Sairam friends,
I have been writing in StarSai for the past 11 years. I think that I am doing good and when someone mails me saying it has benefited them, I feel happy about it. Think very thought of being recognized will hinder my Sai Seva. I am supposed to do good through StarSai irrespective of what people think about me. Some have even hurt me over the years. This is just the ‘Result” of what I do and we must not get attached to it. This is just an example.
Shirdi Saibaba’s path of Karmamarga or we can say Karma Yoga. Its about going a work without being attached to it.
Let’s say you apply for a job and it involved doing some samples of work to impress the Employer. You put your heart and soul in the work you do and deliver it on time. You wait for anxiously wait for the result. On the day of the result, You wake up and worship Saibaba. You believe Saibaba will bless you to get this job for sure. Unfortunately, You get a negative result.
You feel shattered and wonder what went wrong in the work you did? You did your best and still Saibaba did not help you? Is your devotion on Sai is not enough for this poor fakir?
You complain that Saibaba doesn’t care for you. You start to behave rude to others and you get into bad habits or simply hurt yourself by not being responsible.
Trust me.
Its not that you are not skillful. May be, Your time hasn’t come or Saibaba wants you to keep trying or try something else.
We never know what Gods plans are.
When ever you do some work. Analyze the what would be your feelings if you get a positive or negative result.
Write it down or think about it. Then, Say to yourself that no matter what happens, I will continue to work hard, be dedicated and keep my faith in my skills high.
Most of the problems and disappointments happens in life due to such attachment to the results.
You can only do the work. The fruit of work is not in your hands. So do not be attached to it. Continue to stay the good person you are.
Your life will be good.
Aum Sai Ram
