Hi,
I often go through times in life when I feel the call of Goddess. I suddenly remember any form of Goddess and worship them by heart. I remembered the days I used to go to the Kabaleeswarar temple in Mylapore after visiting Shirdi Saibaba temple there. My Ma used to ask me to light lemon lamps for Goddess Durga in this temple. I had offered Lemon garland for this Durga several times.
Last night, I went to Saibaba temple in Coimbatore and reached home. My Ma was having dinner and said that she fell down in the rest room and got hit on her eyes. I scolded her for not having any patience. Thankfully, she wasn’t wounded much and no problems to the eye. I applied Saibaba’s udi over her eye lid.
I was really upset over few things. This morning when I woke up, I suddenly remembered the days I used to stare at the divine form of Karpagambal in Mylapore Kabaleeswarar temple in Chennai. I still remember there was an old man who could not speak clearly. He simply stands infront of the Goddess and utters some words loudly as if he’s chanting her name.
It would always be crowded and I will stand in comfortable space to look at her. Like the Annapurna and Bhadrakali I admire in temples at Coimbatore, I also love this Karpagambal in Mylapore. She’s truly a Goddess of mercy and I say this to all Goddess since I have no other words to supplement.
Today, I kept chanting holy names of Sai and Karpagambal.
I imagined that my soul is in her holy feet.
When you are not in good mood or depressed, remember any Goddess you love.
You can remember Shirdi Saibaba too. Some people have realized the power of remembering Mother Goddess. You must try remembering her.
Devotion is not something which is limited to Pooja, rituals and an occasional visit to temples.
It must emerge from your heart. Deep in you.
Shall post her photos later
