Sairam friends,
Sai blessed me to write about every auspicious festival all through this year and I am happy to write about Lord Nataraja on this auspicious day of Arudhra Darisanam. I know little about Lord Nataraja so posted some information in Wikipedia. Thanks to Wiki authors.
I have already wrote an article about the Temple in my Mom’s village which can be read below
Chepparai Natarajar Temple – Arudhra Darisanam – Festival of Cosmic Dance of Lord Shiva
Lord Nataraja
Nataraja or Nataraj, The Lord (or King) of Dance; Tamil: கூத்தன் (Koothan); is a depiction of the god Shiva as the cosmic dancer who performs his divine dance to destroy a weary universe and make preparations for the god Brahma to start the process of creation.
An essential significance of Shiva’s dance at Tillai, the traditional name of Chidambaram, can be explained as:
First, it is seen as the image of his rhythmic play which is the source of all movement within the universe. This is represented by the circular or elliptical frame surrounding the Lord.
Secondly, the purpose of his dance is to release the souls of all men from the snare of illusion.
Lastly, the place of the dance, Chidambaram, which is portrayed as the center of the universe, is actually within the heart.
Dancing is seen as an art in which the artist and the art s/he creates are one and the same, thought to evoke the oneness of God and creation.
OK friends, Please worship Lord Shiva in the form of Nataraja today.
You know Shirdi Saibaba also used to dance wearing anklets during his first few years at Shirdi. Later Sai started encouraging other devotees to dance and sing during festive times like Ram Navami.
OK now am starting to work. My friends were very eager to make a short film. So I wrote a script and going to shoot from today. Am sleeping late night everyday as am preparing my system, editing stuff for the film. Baba, please let it not go stupid ! he he..Anyway, I do it for fun and am going to shoot everything in campus, path way, road on the way to work because I need fillers inbetween story so that it looks lively.I feel little embarrassed to do it but that’s how we can make short film.
I need a clipping from U.S …Like road shots in America. So requested my Sai friend Swati to shoot with her phone and send me. If it looks good, I shall use it.
Please if any one can write about Lord Shiva or share their experience as comment to this post, I will be happy.
Sai and Lord Shiva blessings
Venkat
