Sairam friends,
This article is for all Sai devotees – Men, Women, Girls,Guys and Kids who are emotional and sensitive. May Sai wipe your tears.
I love these words ” Boys Don’t Cry” because I DO.
One of my Filmmaker friend was speaking about how good this 1999 Hollywood movie was which won Best actress award in the 72nd Academy Awards. I never have seen this film but the name keeps coming into my thoughts at times.
Ya…
BOYS—–DON’T——CRY
MEN —–DON’T —–CRY
Men are not supposed to cry. Its a rule. History always speaks about Men who are Bold. Committed and Internally strong no matter what happens in Life.
Something was hurting me past few days why I cry and at times while am at work even when am making fun and laughing suddenly I feel tears welling in my eyes. My father has always been very much hurt when ever I cry.
My love for Pet Dog Ruby:
We had a pet dog Ruby in our house. It was like my brother for over 13 years ( I thought its only a Dog until the day he was no more). I had beat Ruby when it bites me and sometimes I feel that i treated the sweet little Dog cruelly in my childhood as he barks a lot while making him bath, i used to beat him with stick. I feel may be its the sin of beating Ruby that I suffer.
Ruby suddenly got ill and my parents know his time is ending. It must be around 11-12 at night when suddenly, Ruby started breathing heavy. My parents woke up and I ran to ruby and took him on my lap and started shaking his boy….
Ruby…Saiiraam…Saiiraamm…Sairam..
Water came out of Ruby’s mouth while I was shaking him to wake up and come back to life saying Sairam..Ruby…Sairam.My father could not see me crying and said “Vitru da, Adhu poidhuchu” …”Leave it, Its gone”
If there’s a Dog which passed away hearing holy name of a Saint – Sairam Sairam, Its our Ruby.
My father went back to his room and suddenly I hear my Mom shouting at me that Dad has fainted. I left Ruby, ran to him and was shocked to see his eyes were closing.
My Mom shouted at me saying “He can’t bear looking at you crying like this. You want your Dog or Appa”. I ran to kitchen, took sugar made him have it. He didn’t woke up. Not knowing what to do, I slapped him with force crying Appa…Appa… His tooth broke and in that pain my father came back to consciousness.
I feel like laughing when I write this but honestly, When ever someone faints I try to wake them up with water, feed them sugar. A Nurse taught me not to let people lay down when they are fainting. So I try to hold them up. The final mission is to Slap hard. It worked for me by Sai grace.
Please don’t try this when someone you love faints..Please..Its Sai who saved my father and not what I did
Though I know my Father can’t bear me shedding tears and crying, I am not able to change my emotional and sensitive nature. In fact many Sai devotees used to ask me, Why you always say that you are in Tears. When I sit alone and write about my experiences and think about my Love for Sai, I feel tears in eyes.
May be I have to change as my parents wish or May be Its going to be what I am.
Animal Care Site to inspire Sai devotees:
Since I realized that am getting emotionally attached even to a Dog without my knowledge, we all decided not to have pets any more. Even now, when ever I see Dogs in roads, I used to get a pack of biscut and feed them happily. In Mumbai, there was a temple where we can feed a cow. Once in a while, My mom feeds cows and cats that comes to our home.
I often get dreams of Sacred Cow which inspired me to create a Animal Care website – StarSai.in
Only 2 to 10 visitors per day for my small animal care site..he he..
Does Shirdi Sai Baba cry?
Sai has taught so many good things and we only take what we like from him. So if to convince myself, there’s this chapter in Sai Satcharitra which speaks about Saibaba’s love for his ardent devotee Megha who came all the way from Gujarat and remained in Shirdi for rest of his life. Megha used to worship Sai as Lord Shiva.
Tears flowed from Sai’s eyes when Megha Passed away:
When Megha died, all the villagers followed the funeral procession. Baba also accompanied them and showered flowers on Megha’s body. After the obsequies were performed, tears flowed from Baba’s eyes and like an ordinary mortal, Baba showed Himself overcome with grief and sorrow. Then covering the body with flowers and crying like a near relation, Baba returned to the Masjid.
Sai being a Saint himself could not control his emotions at times. Our Guru speaks about detachment all his life but he himself has shed tears for his sweet devotee Megha.
Sai never did any drama like these modern Gurus. He lived as a Human though he was all powerful. He loved his dear ones when he was with flesh and blood in Shirdi and even today, Sai loves each and every one of his millions of devotees.
I am not justifying that Its OK to be Emotional and Sensitive. Life is all about overcoming our negative qualities. I hope to be someone strong internally in the years to come but that’s just a Hope…he he…
I did some research about Famous Men who cried and came across the Last Match played by Andre Agassi and his Speech.
Andre Agassi cries while giving speech ending his 21 year Tennis career
His wife, Steffi Graf, one of the sport’s greatest women’s champions, and their children, Jaden, 4, and Jaz, 2, were also standing and applauding along with his huge fan crowd. He chose to give a speech instead of an interview, and his voice was breaking.
“The scoreboard said I lost today,” Agassi told the crowd. “But what the scoreboard doesn’t say is what it is I have found. Over the last 21 years, I have found loyalty. You have pulled for me on the court and also in life.
“I found inspiration. You have willed me to succeed, sometimes even in my lowest moments. And I’ve found generosity. You have given me your shoulders to stand on to reach for my dreams, dreams I could never have reached without you. Over the last 21 years, I have found you, and I will take you and the memory of you with me for the rest of my life.”
Video of Andre Aggasi’s Emotional Speech:
Andre Aggasi later wrote his Auto Biography called “Open” which is a must read for everyone who are into Sports.
So where’s the Tips to Sai devotees who are Emotional and Sensitive like me:
“Try to be yourself.”
“We need never be ashamed of our tears.”
I have seen some Men and Women weeping looking at Saibaba photo or statue in temple and when ever I see someone in tears, I get tempted to give them a Sai picture or ask them to light a lamp or say them some healing words. Most of the time, I can’t do it as am stranger to them. Sometimes, I have seen people always smiling but I know deep inside, they are actually Not.
Emotional People can be successful in life too. All it takes is Hard work and dedication in what you do:
Crying can mean success. I want Sai devotees to really feel how emotional people also can win in life and wish you see this Speech by Gwyneth Paltrow ( One of my favorite actress)
Gwyneth Paltrow Speech with tears, winning an Oscar® for “Shakespeare in Love”
Hope you have time to watch these videos which are truly inspiring friends…
I love these quotes…
“The girl who laughs and talks a lot and seems very Happy,is also the girl who may cry herself to sleep”
I pray Shirdi Saibaba to bless his children with so much faith in him that even when thunder strikes on their head (Problems in life), They remain courageous and face them with confidence because Sai has said “Why fear when I am here”
Why Fear When I am Here
Don’t be like Venkat !
I believe most of Star Sai is about not being like Venkat…
Don’t fall in love like Venkat
Don’t be emotionally too attached to everyone like Venkat
and
Don’t dream that your girl or guy is going to come back to you like Venkat.
They Won’t.
Because Sai wants to keep me with himself.
Sai, You are really possessive about me.
I was really upset past few days as I only write about Sai and Sai devotion all these years but never really tried to touch the emotional needs of people. Life is all about people who have certain goals and when they can’t achieve them, they are in Pain. Sai’s role is to keep you where you are safely and not always to give you success. It all depends on the good deeds we have done in this and previous life.
So when I wrote about Angre Agassi and Gwyneth Paltrow, Its for you to realize, Being emotional doesn’t have to let you down. You can be successful too. Hold on to Sai. Your Day will dawn soon !
What did you Loose in life?
Sai Hai Na !
Sai’s there right !
Sai is always there deep in you. His Shirdi is your Soul.
I am in tears now when i finish writing this article.
Love,
Venkat
Always in the holy feet of Shirdi Saibaba
