Sai, Aren't you too possessive about me?

Sairam friends,

Yesterday I was doing Kumkum archana for Raja Matangi right. It’s believed Meenakshi Amman of Madurai is also one of her form. I went to Sai mandhir and after Aarti distributed prasad of Dhuni Baba. I finally offered the prasad inside dhuni to holy fire of baba. The paper over which the prasad was kept had the picture of Meenakshi Amman which surprised me.

When ever I worship other Gods or Goddess I love, I have a feeling that Sai is being neglected. Sai is a saint who encourages us to follow our tradition and once on religious beliefs. If you are Hindu, Sai wishes you do Pooja to your favorite Gods and Goddess. If you are a Muslim, Sai likes it when you read Quran. Abdul Baba who lived with Sai for several years was asked by Sai to eat little, don’t sleep much and always recite Quran.

Similarly Sai made Shyama to read Vishnu Sahasra Nama.

Sai has allowed his devotees to choose their own way of showing devotion on any God and Goddess they love. Infact, Sai has instructed some of his devotees to follow the path of their ancestors – Worship their Family diety – Kula Devatha.

Which ever Temple I go, though I pray to the God and Goddess whole heartedly, my mind does have space for Sai and I come back to Sai where ever I go. At times when I do pooja like Kumkum archana which was done yesturday, Sai blesses me with some strange dream.

All I could understand from these dream is that Sai says

“Venkat, Worship which ever Gods you love, Go which ever temple you wish to go but surrender to me because you belong to me and I belong to you.”

At times, Sai seems to convey a very strong message of his intimacy with us. I could feel Sai telling me,

“What ever you want, I am supposed to give you. So don’t run here and there. I am there to give you what you desire most.”

Shirdi Sai Baba has at times behaved as if he is not responsible for changes in our life but sometimes he takes authority to what he does.

Example:

During Saibaba’s life time in Shirdi, A devotee goes to Kopergoan and checks the registry in which its recorded that Rs.25 has been increased in his Salary from the day before. The devotee then comes to Shirdi and meets Sai in Dwarakamai. Saibaba asks him dakshina of Rs.25. When the devotee said, he doesn’t have such a huge sum, Sai tells him “It is only yesterday that I gave you Rs25”.

The devotee understands Sai means to say by his blessings, He has got a increment in Salary.

Above incident shows us how Sai at times takes authority to what he does but it doesn’t mean that Sai appreciates his own leela.

It shows very humbly that he cares for his devotees welfare and he is aware of all our needs and wants.

Anyway, Similarly, Sai loves it when you worship any Gods, Goddess of your religion and follow the path of your ancestors and which ever path you choose but make sure, your love for Guru is ever growing.

Anyway, When ever I worship other Gods and Goddess I love, I feel like going back to Sai and surrender to him with body,mind and speech.

I started writing this article with tears om eyes as i fought with parents and am really making my them sad baba. Please show me a way. Though I love my Amma and Appa, I am hurting them when ever they start some topic. Please, let me not do it as they did all they can for me. Please make my parents happy baba. I laugh and smile but am making my parents too sad these days. What’s use of being so devoted if I can’t make my parents happy?
