Sai and Sri Murugan made me help a simple man with his wife and kids to reach home from Marudhamalai

Sairam friends,

Its been more than a year since I offered my hair to Lord Murugan. I feel clean from soul when ever I offer my hair to Sri Murugan and Lord Venkateswara. I kept telling my parents that I wanted to offer my hair to Lord Murugan in Marudhamalai. Finally, I decided to offer my hair today evening. I had a divine feeling in Marudhamalai Murugan temple and few other good experiences.

Sai Heals

I have walked over the steps of Marudhamalai and few other Murugan temples like Anuvavi and Palani hills several times. This time, I was really shocked because when I was about to climb the steps in Marudhamalai hills, I got a sudden pain in my hip and right leg. It was as if some thing really gone wrong and I got scared. I immediately sat down near the peacock statue for 5 minutes and prayed Saibaba. I decided to walk until the Suyambu Vinayakar temple. If the pain prevails, its better to go back home.

I stood up and surprisingly, there was no pain. So I continued to walk happily over the steps.

I drank water from the pipe near Idumban temple, worshiped the little Hanuman there and continued to walk.

I reached Marudhamalai temple and offered my hair. Then, I bought green grass for Ganesha and flowers for Sri Murugan. I offered the green grass and lit 4 lamps to Panchamuga Vinayakar. He’s big and beautiful. I walked into the main temple and had darshan of divine Murugan.

I also did pooja to Valli,Dhaivanai and Subramaniya. Then, I walked to Kannimar kovil. In Marudhamalai down stairs. In Marudhamalai temple, they keep this Kannimar kovil very clean.

My best friend priest was in the Pambati Sithar temple. We know each other for more than 10 years but very rarely we could see. He asked me what the “Saint” is saying and I simply smiled. This is a “Saint’ only we both know and now a days, my focus is on Shirdi Saibaba. So I kept calm and smiled to him.

I sat in a corner and started reciting Skadha Guru Kavasam looking at the little Murugan book I had taken in my bag. Then, I bowed to Lord Murugan and walked down the steps. I saw a Dog was hungry. So gave her biscuits. I had emptied most of the money I had in Marudhamalai. So I thought of taking some cash from ATM located in the corner. Twice, I turned back thinking I can take money in Saibaba colony but again moved towards ATM.

It was Oriental Bank of Commerce ATM. It won’t ask for Pin number first. It will ask you to enter everything including the cash you wanna withdraw and finally ask your PIN number. ( I wonder who invented this system…Solli Senjadhu). Finally, it displayed an error no one on Earth could understand about why I can’t take my money because of compliance with RBI rules.

I was about to move out of the ATM. A Man walked in and requested me to take some money for him. I told him, Its not working right but I shall try. He also doubted the system since it din’t asked for Pin number first. I told him, it will ask in the end and he told me. The same error was displayed to him too.

He immediately was very upset and told me that he trusted this ATM and spent all the money for his kids in the temple and now don’t have enough to travel back home.

He was standing in Marudhamalai foot hills and told me that he is going to walk in the road towards Coimbatore with his family. If he finds an ATM on the way, he will take money and take a bus. It was already over 7 P.M and I told him its not safe and right to walk in darkness.

I offered to take ticket to Gandhipuram for his family and he can join me. He smiled to me but did not come forward and stood there. I told him not to waste my time and asked him to join me. Then, we sat in the bus. His wife, 2 kids and his sister in law’s son took the front seat in the bus while him and myself were in the back.

(Note – When I have been to few famous pilgrimage areas in India, I have noticed some people show off as if they lost their wallet etc and they will demand money to go back home. We can easily find out who needs real favour and who are cheating us. So be careful.)

This man was very simple and I had all reasons to trust him. The bus took few minutes to start. He kept saying how he spent all money and feel bad about it. I said its OK but he must give some money to his wife when ever he travels outside.

We started speaking his work. His name is Chelladurai and that he works as a waiter in a famous hotel chain in Coimbatore. He was proud of the company he works for and I wondered if everyone including me should be like this. Being proud of the place we work for. Meanwhile, I took the ticket and gave the balance to him as he wanted to reach further after Gandhipuram. He denied to take it but I told him not to depend on ATM and first reach home safe. He told me that his native is Palani hills and settled in Coimbatore now. His daughter is studying 4th grade in a school near railway station. He kept asking me if I come to Gandhipuram so that he can return the money. I told him that I wanted to go Saibaba temple and will be getting down there. I asked him not to worry about it.

I got down in Saibaba colony and waved my palm to him. I don’t know if I will meet this man again. All I know is the way Gods and Saints work.
