Sai, Thune Sabko Diya, Mujhe Naa Diya

Sairam friends,

Sai,Thune Sabko Diya, Mujhe Naa Diya.

That translates to

“Sai, You gave everyone but not me.”

Many times in my life, we say this to Shirdi Saibaba irrespective of our devotion and faith on him.

Sometimes, we really are fed up with life and don’t even feel like doing anything, be it pooja or going to temple, listening to Aarti or doing parayan of Sai Satcharitra.

Yesterday, I decided to do Parayan of Sai Satcharitra after many months. I went to Nagasai mandhir, sat in Dwarakamai and started reading until the Madhyan Aarti got over. I felt really good reading Saibaba’s life this time friends. Its because every time we read Sai Satcharitra after a long gap, we would have gathered some more experiences and wisdom in between. So when I tried to very peacefully understand Sai’s nature and read Sai Satcharitra, it truly made more sense to me.

I especially loved the part when Sai appeared as a young lad under a Neem tree in Shirdi. It is said that he used to meditate and live under the Neem tree for days together without minding the Hot day and Cold night times.

Then, I liked the part when Chad Patil comes in search of his Horse and looks at a poor fakir. He asks him to search for the Horse in the near by Nala and when he found it, realized the fakir is a Aulia – A great saint. Chad Patil requests Saibaba to be a guest in his house for few days. Meanwhile, One of Chadpatil’s family was arranging for a marriage function of their relative.

The bride is from Shirdi and hence they all decided to go to Shirdi. The best part about Sai’s first arrival in Shirdi is he comes along with a marriage party.

I could imagine a huge Banyan tree near the dilapidated old Khandoba temple when the marriage party arrived from Dhoob Khed village to Shirdi. The poor fakir had no name then. When the priest Mahalsapathi saw the fakir who got down from the cart, he would have realized the divinity in him and invited him “Aao Sai”

Think about the very moment when Mahalsapathi called the fakir as “Sai”.

Did he ever imagine, this will be the name which millions and millions of devotees across the world utter in their day to day life?

And how beautiful is this name “Sai”‘

Every breath I take, Every move I make, I wish to keep uttering this name.

And then, I liked the part which spoke about Saibaba’s nature.

Saibaba rarely speaks but simply answers when any one questions him. He rarely starts to speak by himself. I immediately thought how at times, I simply speak to my friends at work and blabber. May be its not good to speak something often.

In the evening, I again went to Nagasai Mandir and sat in Dwarakamai reading Sai Satcharitra. After few minutes, I felt pained for some reason.  While Shej Aarti was going on, I completed a chapter and went near holy Dhuni and stared at the fire in Dhuni. I asked Baba “How can you tolerate when someone acts innocent to everyone after injuring me to core?” and then I answered myself. “Well. Its my own sin. I am supposed to bear it all. What can you do? ”

I came home, did nothing and slept. I woke up this morning and had to face lots of issues and felt really painful. I cleaned my Almara, arranged all the Sai and spiritual books. I tried to sleep but I kept asking Baba the same question. I laid down but could not sleep. I kept looking at this Saibaba’s Samadhi Mandhir Photo.

I woke up and started writing here.

Sai, Thune Sabko Diya, Mujhe Naa Diya

Honestly, Its not a complain against Saibaba.

Sai has given me more than I can ask for.

What is it that Sai can’t give?

Its just that he doesn’t have time for me yet.

This is a universal feeling that every single Sai devotee will be going through  when things don’t happen as they desire

You feel Saibaba fulfills everyone’s desire but not yours.

Sai, Thune Sabko Diya, Mujhe Naa Diya

I am sure Sai will give me what he things is good for me.

You are always a giver and I keep complaining, because I am ignorant.

I am an ordinary human who doesn’t know what you have in store for me. I am ignorant and hence I complain. Further, I wish to reflect an ordinary Sai devotee’s feelings in StarSai.

I know many are leading their life in similar situation.

My humble request is, please find time to read Sai Satcharitra.

Read it with devotion.

Read it because you wanted to know Sai personally and his ways.

Reading it to fulfill your wish distances us from us when desire is not fulfilled.

So lets read Sai Satcharitra because we wanted to know Sai better.

The one who keeps giving. Just that he din’t show us that he’s been continuously giving.

Sai has been giving me immense care and love.

When I was writing this article, a neighbor came and asked me to give a step of the flower plant in our compound. I told him that I feel bad to cut the step as it has many little buds over it. Then I convinced myself thinking, Its good to encourage people to grow plants, broke the stem and gave it to him.

I believe this is what I am trying to grow in StarSai.

I try to portray what’s running in Sai devotees mind and show them a way to water their plant.

Let’s sow the seed of faith and patience in us and believe our Sai devotion with bear flowers and fruits sometime soon.

Good days are coming. Be happy.

Sai blessings
