Sairam friends,
There’s something strange about Sai that he asks us to keep a check on our idea about beauty and happiness in life.
As I am preparing to go to the U.S with my parents to my Sister’s place, I often look at her town on Google Maps. The other day, I found a river running just 3 miles from my Sister’s home and was telling my friends that I wish to walk to that river banks and spend some time.
Meanwhile, My friend had posted a photography of Hills near Siruvani in Coimbatore during the summer rain. Many people liked and shared his post. Somehow, I kept turning back to Google Maps and kept on watching the below river in the U.S.
That night, I had a dream as if I am looking at water falls in Siruvani in Coimbatore and it was amazing. I had this dream just for 10 seconds.
I woke up and understood this.
Every town and every village is beautiful. You just have to go to place where mother nature shines with all her glory.
Its not that I don’t like India. Because of huge population here, we are not able to keep our Rivers, lakes and ponds clean. I was surprised that in the U.S, there are several restrictions even to get into the water where ever the river flows.
My love for English and Hindi songs
3-4 Days back, I felt nostalgic and remembered few old English songs which were my favourites. One of them is this
Believe by Cher.
There’s no better song that hooks my heart than this one. The Music Video and cinematography is my all time favourite. I especially love the green tint on Cher’s face and several places Green is prominently illuminated.
Its the best break-up love song you could possibly listen to.
The lyrics goes like this..
No matter how hard I try
You keep pushing me aside
And I can’t break through
There’s no talking to you
It’s so sad that you’re leaving
It takes time to believe it
But after all is said and done
You’re gonna be the lonely one
Do you believe in life after love
I can feel something inside me say
I really don’t think you’re strong enough
Do you believe in life after love
I can feel something inside me say
I really don’t think you’re strong enough
Many girls and guys who write me saying they can’t forget someone they liked and can’t bear the break-up, this is the song they must listen. It portrays a girl who survives after her break-up. There certainly is life after love!
When ever my friends take me in bike, I loudly sing a Hindi song of past. I love this song – Humko Hamishe Churalo, Dil me kahin tum chupa lo.
Now a days, I reduced such behavior because I was warned that they will drop my down in middle of the road if I sing like this!
Anyway, 3 days back, I kept listening to some English pop songs and slept off.
That night, I had a strange dream in which I heard a song in Tamil.
The song had a meaning which made me understand “There are good Tamil songs too which you should listen to”
With both these dreams – One about realizing my own hometown is beautiful and after few month about how cool are Tamil songs, I realized Saibaba wants me to get local.
There’s not a thing Sai missed to convey in dreams to me. Its not easy to live a life based on Sai dreams but somehow I managed to and I will continue to.
Having said that, Sai himself knew that I love India too. I also have habit of looking at videos of Indian villages. When ever I travel in high-way, I love looking at ordinary Indians and their way of life. Sometimes, I search Google Maps and look for small temples in small towns of India.
Here’s an article – Join me on a pilgrimage to temples situated in small towns and villages of India
I also love Tamil songs but for several years, I stopped watching movies. It hurts me that I didn’t became a filmmaker and hence I don’t listen to songs too.
Anyway, the moral of this article is simple.
Where ever you live, love your place with heart and soul. Travel and enjoy the whole world. However, “Get Local” and contribute something to the place you belong.
