Shirdi Sai Baba blessings to Stay strong and Calm

Sairam friends,

These days I am really wondering if my life will ever be in peace and at times I feel dejected. I have few projects planned for StarSai which also I am not able to work on. There are few Sai friends of my who mail me asking me not to be depressed and be calm. Sometimes we can’t stay strong and become too feeble. I am not understanding why Sai is testing me and if he is not satisfied with my devotion?

There are so many ways to come out of depression and worries. One way is to involve our self by doing something really innovative and productive. Hope Shirdi Sai Baba helps me do such little works in the days to come.

One of my Sai friend, Dr.N mailed me with an experience she had which taught me how some people are suffering worse than us and we must never feel let down. So here’s the Story…

SaiRam Venkat ji,

I have been reading your articles and you seem to be very disturbed these days. I pray Sai Baba blesses you with all the strength and courage to come out of the problems. Everyone has Ups and downs venkat ji, our responsibility is to be controlled during the Ups and strongly face the downs.

Nothing is permanent in life, whether happiness or sorrow, they’re all temporary. Unless we see the dark, we don’t realize the importance of light. Sun never fails to rise, spreading its light and radiance in the whole world. I want to tell you a story, which inspired me a lot, whenever I’m in a problem I think about this little guy, his strength, his courage, his sensibility, understanding, it always gives me strength to face any challenge.

shirdi saibaba temple Kalasam – I love this beautiful Gopuram so much

I was so touched by a 11 yr old boy, a heart patient. He was suffering from a dreadful heart disease, his chances of survival being quite less if he doesn’t take proper treatment.

When I first saw him, it was during my night duty, I see a boy suffering with pain,  examined him &  instructed the nurse to give a pain killer injection immediately for symptomatic relief. I felt really sad, could not see that little boy suffer so much.

An old lady standing next to his bed came to me crying, folded her hands and started saying please help my grandson, please. My eyes filled with tears and I told her he’ll be alright. She then told me that this boy lost his mother as soon as  he was born and 5 years back he lost his father due to snake bite, I felt very bad. She then said I’m old and he’s sick, we have only each other and no one else.

Tears came rolling down my cheek. I felt so helpless. They were each other’s support, one being so old, the other bed ridden. I dont know who was taking care of who..

The next day when I went to see the boy, he was out of pain smiling and talking as if nothing happened. The paediatrician sir told us that his condition was quite bad and the next best step for him was to undergo a surgery, for which, he would have to go to other cardiology centre, and until then we could make him better medically.

A few days later his nose started bleeding badly, his grandmother panicked, crying loudly and that boy was consoling his grandma that why do you cry, nothing happened, the doctors will give me some medicine and the bleeding will stop. I’m fine.
Sir then prescribed some medicines and nose pack and asked her to get some medicine from the pharmacy and she rushed to the pharmacy, meanwhile the boy seeing her grandma was gone, let out his tears, which he was hiding from his grandma, because he didn’t want to show his pain in front of her, pretending as if nothing happened. So while she was gone he cried out a little, silently letting the tears fall off his eyes, fear out of his heart, he was an 11 year old kid after all.. And as he saw his grandma coming back, I don’t know how & from where this 11yr old gathered his strength, but wiped his tears out, sat upright with the same “I’m alright” expression, telling his grandma, see the bleeding has reduced already & you were simply worrying. His grandma hugged him and shed some tears of relief that the bleeding had reduced.

How could this little boy, who never got to see his mother’s love, didn’t have his father’s support, understand at this age that his tears would weaken his grandma and so hiding his tears and fears from her, he was strong, supporting her all along.

Me and my friends decided that we would collect some amount of money we could from everyone who would be willing to contribute and give the money to the boy’s grandma so that it would help her for the surgery. But before we could do that, he got discharged and didn’t return. I wish we must have told her earlier so that she waited a little longer. But they went away and I hope he must have undergone a successful surgery and was completely healed.

The boy, being just 11 years old, with no parents, a poor old grandma, suffering from a major condition., taught us many things.. He had all the courage and strength, he had such a level of understanding at just 11 years of age that he was to take care of his grandma too.

In this age when everyone thinks about just fun, mischief, playing, toys.., this boy was going through so much, hiding his pain, his fears, trying to be his grandma’s support, and doing all this with no complain, always a smile and strength on his face

I hope this story helps you too as it always helps me to stay strong and calm.

Venkat ji there’s a very nice poem in Hindi “Leheron ke saath to koi bhi tair sakta hai, par asli insan woh hai jo leheron ko cheer kar aage badta hai” meaning that anyone can swim ALONG with the waves but a real hero is one who can swim AGAINST the waves which means that we should strongly fight against our problems.

Sai bless you with all the happiness and success
Sai bless everyone

Jai Sai Ram

Dr.N

I liked this Story of the boy and felt Sai has blessed us all with lots of good things which we don’t realize and worry about few issues. May be Sai wants me to believe that he is there for me and live in peace

  • Painful, sad but encouraging story. How a little boy can have that much emotions and understanding! Only His grace. I pray for the child and grandma’s happy life.

There are so many sufferings in life but Baba’s 2 words- Shradha and Saburi always give strength. During our golden days, we should only ‘Thank’ him and during the cloudy nights, all we can do is pray.

Venkat- See all are connected to you and wish for you through Starsai which means you and the website are important to us.

When I was going through really bad phase of my life, Baba’s blessings through Starsai gave me strength.

    I wish for you too.

Take care and have a happy and blissful life!

    Sai Ram
