Shirdi Saibaba devotees in Singapore

Sairam friends,

In 2005, I know very few people in Malaysia and Singapore were devoted to Shirdi Saibaba. Gradually things has changed and by 2014 many people living in Singapore seems to believe in our Saibaba. This could also be because in South Indian states like Tamilnadu, Karnataka and Kerala, many people have become Sai devotees in the last 10 years. So when they move abroad, they also carry their Sai devotion to spread Sai’s divine fragrance in every part of the world.

Thanks to Acharya Ekkirala Bharadwaj who served Saibaba through his books and way of life, Telugu people got Shirdi Saibaba way back in 1970’s to 80’s itself. All other south Indian states experiences a big wave of Sai movement only in late 90’s and especially after 2005.

Today, Singapore has really huge number of Sai devotees for its size. StarSai is also being read regularly by Shirdi Saibaba devotees in Singapore.

Well, place of the devotee doesn’t matter at all because Indians live in every part of the world and Its really surprising, I have received mails from Sai devotees living in Jamaica and also Fiji islands.

The past 2 days, I was doing some study to understand from where people come to StarSai regularly, how they are benefited.

I thought of welcoming Shirdi Saibaba devotees in Singapore through this article.

“Aum Sai Ram – Thanks for coming to StarSai”

Have a look at beautiful Dwarakamai Saibaba….

shirdi saibaba

I love this Dwarakamai Shirdi Saibaba sent by a Sai devotee living in Singapore

One of my Sai sister, Harshitha sent these photos to me which made me feel really divine. I like Dwarakamai Saibaba a lot.

There are few experiences which also made me realize though I have never met so many devotees who write me after reading StarSai, at times, very rarely Saibaba also gives me dream to guide them.

Few month back, I had a dream as if one of my Sai friend in Singapore and her Husband were actually in the IT campus I work (in India). They were walking in the pathway outside canteen and I clearly saw her telling her husband that “Sai wants us to remain in Singapore”

I forgot what exactly I saw but it was a very strange dream which I could not understand. Next morning, I told her that I had such dream and if it makes any sense to her. Surprisingly, they were in dilemma deciding to accept a job in Dubai or stay back in Singapore itself.

This made us all happy. You see. I may not be able to guide everyone. Sai might at times give dreams to your friends/ relatives about you to guide you better in life. I must also add that do not completely believe in dreams but use it as a small hint and see if it makes sense to you. That’s it.

Now that my friend is back in India, I wish her husband once again continues his career in Singapore as she liked the country a lot. Further, Indians living too far like Europe, Australia, U.K, U.S might at times feel hard to meet their family members as its too far. Living in Singapore, Malaysia and Middle East helps people reach their family members when ever they want to.

Every couple of hours, some one from Singapore comes to StarSai and I thank them with this article.

May Shirdi Saibaba bless you with good health, peace and happiness.

Keep doing Naam smaran – Sai, Sai, Sai in mind when ever you feel like.

Today, One of my Sai friend, Gauri didi invited me to Singapore and I told her that now a days, I often make fun to my friends that I can’t come to office during week ends because I will be in Singapore for a business visit through Tiger Airways…he he…

Lets encourage children to read a lot and help them enhance their skills:

I din’t even go to Shirdi for the past few years which really upsets me a lot. I wish to go to U.S and meet my sister and Katya. I wish to go Singapore for any event related to Startups and stuff like that and meet my friends living there. Then, I can take some photos of beautiful places, animals and present a better article in StarSai.

Hope it happens but I am already living in all parts of the world through my writings. Few well learned devotees might identify how many typo and grammar mistakes I do. I apologize for the same friends. Since I know my language isn’t that good, I make it a point to encourage today’s children to read lots of Books and enhance their knowledge.

I wish to do something related to Education like helping students become more confident, motivated and dedicated in what ever they do.

Shirdi Sai Baba Singapore

Shirdi Sai Baba temple, Singapore

My Sai friends, sent me above photo taken in Shirdi Saibaba temple of Singapore. I felt really blessed looking at the holy face of Sai in this Statue.

You can see Baba’s face is kind of so unique and expressive as if he is telling

“I know you. I am looking at you. Go sit calmly in the corner”

ha ha…

Many people who knew I am a Sai devotee ask me this question. ” Baba enna solraaru – What is Baba telling?”

I give them a smile and used to wonder what kind of question is this Baba. Are you telling me something every time I come to your temple. Only I am telling all my stupid problems to you.

Today, I realized that many of us never bother what Sai Baba is trying to express. We are deeply indulged in our own worries and problems that we never have time to understand what Sai is expressing with his silence.

When I see this Saibaba statue in Singapore temple, I felt Sai is giving a very playful, casual expression. Look into his face and see the way he smiles.

I am sure you will be able to realize Sai is speaking to you and also answering you with his graceful smile.

singapore sai baba

Shirdi Sai Baba with his own way of giving a stare to devotees with his powerful eyes.

Now look at this expression of Saibaba in the temple.

The shadow which falls under the eyes and the lips due to top light makes me feel Sai is giving a sarcastic smile.

He is telling me

“I know you Venkat. Better don’t put too much scene. Just sit calm and listen to how people sing Aarti”. he he…

Its like, Baba knows that I don’t know to Sing aarti since I always remain near Dwarakamai doing something or simply roam in Nagasai Mandir. Sometimes, I even sit in the flower shop with my friends there when Shej Aarti is going on. Very rarely, I sit in the main hall during Aarti.

I simply meditate on Sai, read Sai Satcharitra or look at Baba and tell him “See everyone are singing Aarti praising you and you do good to them. Since I don’t know to sing Aarti, you don’t bother me at all Baba.”

Surprisingly, one of the most visited article in StarSai is – Shirdi Saibaba Aarti

I am not truly a very good Sai devotee because I only say people “do this. Do that” but I myself have oscillations in my mind to follow it properly. I have my own set of negativity which ruined my life.

I have a desire that I at least marry a girl who sings Aarti well because none of us in my home sings Aarti. There are families in which Sai Baba Aarti is sung just as its done in temple.

I started this article thinking what message I have to say but eventually, I think something good came out by grace of Saibaba. I simply work as Baba’s humble servant and Sai writes all the good articles in StarSai. The rest are written by me. A clown. A stupid and just another ordinary India.

Hope Sai devotees living in Singapore sing the glory of Sai and livesĀ  in peace and harmony.

Love,

C.Venkatraman

  • Hi Venkat,

What a surprise to read this article, I was in singapore last week and really wondered if any sai devotees would be available there and whether sai would be watching me having all fun and materialistics things enjoyed there. Reading this article really makes me believe that this is a message from sai telling me that he is omnipresent.

Great work Venkat. Star sai is a great support for us!
