Beautiful Shirdi Saibaba temple – Sai Dham, South Brunswick, New Jersey

One of the best things that can happen to someone when they are in their childhood is learning about Shirdi Saibaba and worshiping him. There are people who know about Sai when they are very old too. Baba has said to Shama that his devotees are connected to him for 72 generations. So in this birth, Sai will pull us at the right time to his holy feet. Its for us to accept him or deny him. At times, we all deny Sai without totally surrendering to him.

One of my Sai friend Radha in the U.S, sent me this beautiful photo of Shirdi Saibaba taken in Sai Dham, South Brunswick, New Jersey. Though there are several temples in USA, some of them really are beautiful to have darshan. Obviously, Sai lives where ever there is pure devotion.

I requested Radha to write few words about her devotion on Saibaba.

I have no words to express to the connection I feel towards Shri Sai Baba of Shirdi. When I was little, I visited Shridi  for the first time. I was with my family. Kids follow their parents, so I went to the temple, but just before entering I read the 11 Sai Vachans written outside and ask my mom to explain it. She said Sai Baba is the savior. You have to believe in him and totally surrender at his feet. He will do the best for you. And, when I stepped in the temple even though I was a little girl I remembered my mom’s words and felt a connection. I played the whole day with my brother inside the temple. The priest even lifted us and made us sit near to the Samadhi..while my dad and grandmother did the abhishekam on the actual samadhi ( near the feet)..that is not possible today.

However, I still find that peace today in Shridi after the kakad aarti. I stay back and sit down and  meditate. No one tells me to get up and move..strange.

When I lived in Mumbai, I visited Shirdi 3 times a year. Later after moving to US, it is only possible whenever I visit India. But because of some great effort by Sai devotees in the New Jersey, US, we have at least 4 Sai Baba worship centers. There could be more. The pictures I am sending are from the new center Shirdi Saidham, South Brunswick, NJ.

Many people simply send photo of temple but not the external places surrounding the temple. In temples abroad, its filled with natural beauty. Hence, I requested Radha to take some photos as all of us will feel the environment.
