Sleeping like Saibaba and being blessed with a divine dream of Lord Venkateswara

Sairam friends,

The past 2 days can be given a 5 star rating for “Wasting time”. I honestly din’t do any work as I am upset with whats happening in my life. I went to temples in the evening, came home, spoke to my Mom few minutes and slept off.

In the early days of Sai’s life time in Shirdi, Baba used to hang a wooden plank over the Dwarakamai, climb on that small plank and sleep. 4 Lamps will be burning on every corner of this wooden plank.  You know, the wooden plank is just the size of a human and many people wondered how the rope is bearing the weight of wooden plank and also Sai himself.  Group of villages used to hide near Dwarakamai to witness how Saibaba actually climbs on the wooden plank to sleep.

Shirdi Saibaba don’t like people getting exited about such Siddhi(Miracles). So Sai finally broke the wooden plank and started sleeping on the floor of Dwarakamai.

There is a reason Sai would have kept 4 lamps burning around him. You know, Though Sai is a Saint, the evil used to bother him too and the lamps protected Sai from such evil.

I hugged Sai Satcharitra and tried to sleep straight as if I am sleeping on a wooden plank and imagined there are 4 lamps around me.  ( There is a reason why I did this. I can’t reveal everything because in Spirituality, you must have some secrets). I felt really divine while trying to sleep imagining Saibaba himself. Its hard to sleep chanting the holy name of Saints and Gods but its very auspicious.

You know, Shyama used to sleep in Dwarakamai with Saibaba. Baba used to say, “Shyama, I will be chanting Gods name.You keep your palm on my chest and keep listening to it. ”

Shyama will assure that he will be listening to the Naam smaran being done in Baba’s heart and keep his palm.

After few minutes Shyama will sleep nicely and snoring…he he…So Baba will make Shyama get up and tell him that his palm weighs so much and he is sleeping like anything and not listening to the naam smaran.

Such is the power of remember God/Saints.

Blessed with a divine dream of Lord Venkateswara

I got a dream like this. I am going to a very sacred temple with a guy in my work place. The temple has lots of steps and we are climbing it. Its dark. We are standing in the right side of the temple where there’s a note book and am drawing something and also writing. There’s Sai and Dattatreya in this place.

I go to the left side of the temple and find many Hindu Gods and Goddess. I see Lord Venkateswara in a very unique divine manner. Lord Venkateswara’s mouth was open like Krishna and I can see the universe in him.

Then I woke up.

I felt happy for this sacred Dream I got by chanting Sai’s holy name.

OK friends. I will be in Chennai this week end – 28,29,30th June for my Cousin’s wedding. I told my Ma it will be embarrassing if anyone asks me about me getting married. What can I do Saibaba? Please don’t keep me in such situation. I don’t like such talks. I might like to stay away and roam else where. I love the Thiruvanmiyur Marundheeswarar temple and as usual I will go to Mylapore Shirdi Saibaba temple.
