Sri Matha – The Mother who cares and brings all Auspiciousness

Sairam friends,

I kept remembering Goddess Lalithambigai as I won’t let her go without showing signs that she’s with me. I usually do chantings in Mind which I din’t do properly for several months. These days I am chanting holy name of Sai and Goddess Lalithambigai.

Yesterday was my Amma’s birthday. I never wish her as am not used to it. Simply went to temple and prayed for her well being. I had darshan of my Sweet Kamakshi Amman and Annapurna. Felt really blissful. I told her to heal my eyes and also show me a way. Then I went to Nagasai mandhir, lit lamps and came home. I did some work for my sites.

Then I was thinking about Lalitha Sahasranama and the first holy name that’s been recited in the Sahasranama.

Its “Sri Matha”

Of all the 1000 names to praise Lalitha, why should the first holy name be ‘Sri Maatha”?

She’s the mother. Mother who cares and brings all auspiciousness in her ardent devotees life. Her color is that of Sindhoor – A beautiful shade of red. She’s of this color since its the color of creation. She’s the one who created every life on this Earth, she lives in every seed, plant and tree.

One who is devoted to this Goddess Parvathi will certainly be blessed with all peace and happiness in life.

“Sri Matha” is a beautiful holy name of Goddess Lalithambigai.

Keep remembering her and she will take care of you like a Mother cares for her child.

  • Its strange, when I read the heading of ur post I am sure I read it as Sai Matha.I clicked and read the details & kept wondering the heading says Sai Matha, why does it talk about Devi. I went back to the main page & read the heading it said Sri Maatha. I can swear I read Sai Maatha at first glance!

    Edit:

That’s so sweet. Sai bless you – Venkat
