Om Sai Ram friends,
Swami Samarth is one of the avatar of Lord Dattatreya. He lived in a small village called Akkalkot in Maharastra. He arrived in Akkalkot in October 1856 and lived for 22 years doing several miracles until he had his samadhi on 18 April 1878.
I used to love this chanting of Swami Samarth.
Shree Swami Samartha Jai Jai Swami Samaratha!
Maharaj!
Shree Swami Samartha Jai Jai Swami Samartha!
One good Sai friend Roopa sent me these beautiful photographs and videos from Shri Swami Samarth Temple in Gulbarga, Karnataka. Hope you like this.
I asked Roopa why Saint Swami Samarth is dressed like Goddess in Saree?
Here’s the story behind it.
Swami Samarth devotees in Akkalkot wanted to go to Tuljapur to take darshan of the mother Goddess. But for some reason they could not make it and they were disheartened.
The next morning by the time they woke up Swami Samarth Maharaj dressed up himself like Amba Bhavani of Tuljapur and blessed them.
Shirdi Saibaba has also blessed me in the form of Mahalakshmi and Goddess Lalithambigai through dreams. All Goddess lives in saints because they lead a pure life.
Seem’s Roopa’s aunt has requested the Poojari if he could dress up Swami Samarth like Tulja Bhavani of Tuljapur? The Pujari has said that they do such saree offering during every dasara festival. Luckily, they happened to visit the temple when Swami Samarth was offered Saree and felt blessed.
I usually request devotees to take photograph of the environment outside the temple too. So felt happy Roopa sent this view of the temple. Seems there are lots of birds chirping in this Neem tree.
