I usually like stories of Sai devotees who had told me how they had visited Shirdi before several years and how after a long gap, they visited again by Sai grace. One of my Sai friend , an elderly person near Mylapore Shirdi Saibaba temple had told me that he had visited Shirdi in 1942. He told me his experience he had during that visit. It seems even in Bombay V.T Railyway station, the staff were not able to recognize if they mention their destination as Shirdi. They were only aware of Kopergoan.
He was telling how hard it was for him to get south Indian foods those days in North India. After his 1942 visit to Shirdi, his son has taken him to Shirdi in 2000 when he was surprised to see all the changes and the fact that he can get all the food he wants any where in India. The surprising fact was, in 1942, there were only 10 to 20 devotees in Shirdi for Sai darshan. Today more than 50,000 to 5,00,000 devotees come for Sai darshan every single day.
Anyway, I wish to share another devotees experience similar to this in which the devotee has visited Shirdi by Sai’s call after over 45 years.
Visiting Shirdi again after 45 years

I am a retired bank officer. In 2006 i was working as inspector of branches and was traveling all over the country. While I was in the bus traveling in Ananthapur district from nowhere a thought came to my mind that here I am traveling all over the country yet I could not go to Shirdi. The last time I visited shirdi was about 40 to 45 years back, as a child, along with my parents.
My devotion is short but deep, everywhere. I was feeling a little sad and at the same time, I wondered, why this thought suddenly came to me. The bus was moving and I started applying my mind, to my assigned job. After about five minutes, my mobile rang. It was my Head Office and the instructions were for me to proceed to Ahmednagar immediately. Ahmednagar is very close to Shirdi. So my journey got altered and I was heading towards Bangalore to pickup my wife. I called her on the way and advised her to pack up as we are going to Shirdi.
We spent 3days in Shirdi having darshan as and when we wanted. Could it have been BABA’s instuctions to my Head Office to send me in particular, because many other Officers were available nearby Shirdi. Now I am a regular viewer of His Sejh Aarti at 10.30 pm on Sudarshan T.V. channel. Shri Sadguru Sainath Maharaj.
