Where is the Saibaba Temple I love?

Sairam friends,

Now a days the Shirdi Saibaba temple in my hometown is really getting busy and crowded. Few years back, if its raining, myself and the priest in Dwarakamai will be standing alone and I used to come around sacred fire of Saibaba- Dhuni for 4 to 5 hours. Very few devotees will come to Sai mandhir on week days accept Thursdays.

I still remember the days when the fire in Dhuni will be so low and me and the priest will do all things to make it burn again. I will run to the shop near by and buy Ghee, 10 rupee camphor which is round in shape and drop so many of them inside the dhuni. Then I will be fanning the wooden logs inside dhuni with a sheet of paper. When I fan it too fast, suddenly fire will emerge and I will be so exited about it.

Every thing has changed now. Yesterday being New Year, I saw the Saibaba temple filled with devotees. I feel Sai has become too busy now a days and I can’t peacefully sit in a corner as I am doing these days.

I still love this beautiful, divine Saibaba temple but sometimes, we like being in a calm place. Yesterday, there was this New year event at work. There had arranged some men beating drums from village and our guys were dancing for it. I enjoyed it for couple of hours but beyond that I could not enjoy such sounds. I simply came to my floor and sat thinking about past and what’s going to happen in my life.

In Saibaba temple also during Ram navami festival, they used to arrange different music troops every year. Sometimes, I like it and sometimes, I am not liking big sounds.

Anyway, My friend told me, the good thing about it is that everyone forgets their worries and other issues and dancing. I said that’s true. People forget themselves when they dance. I liked the part where girls and guys came around for some village song. I like patterns. Everyone doing something in order. It was a feast to see and I really missed my Mini Dv Cam. It’s not working yet. I wish to get a better cam soon by sai grace.

Then only I went to Saibaba temple. I prayed Sai and came home soon. I wanted to improve my knowledge in film making. So now a days watching some works created by other filmmakers.

The Saibaba temple I love is still my sweet heart. Its my soul where Sai taught me so many good things about life. I am sure Sai will allow me to have peaceful moments in the temple even after several years when crowd of devotees will be more. May be Sai will take me to mandhir when very few devotees are there.

On the positive aspect, Its good there are so many Sai devotees.

Ok friends am going now

  • Hi Venkat
God Bless you for sharing Shirdi Baba with us! Inspired by my friend Ravi, I did a milk and honey Abishekam for Baba on the evening of the 31st, lit many candles and decorated the place with lots of flowers. Just after it, I got a message from the Sai centre here in London wishing me a happy new year! That was definitely Baba’s doing!
